We are on the lookout for professional English speaking Chinese casting directors in Shanghai! If you have experience as a casting director on significant productions, then you are needed!
Many new productions are in town and it seems Shanghai has a big lack of talented casting directors.

Mystery shopping is where you go into some shop, pretending to be a shopper, but in fact, your job is to rate the level of service of the business. Chinese mystery shoppers are needed for some very high end luxury brands, including cars. This means you must have a valid Chinese drivers licence. All you have to do is act like an affluent Chinese, and review their service.

Every time, the stand up comedy at the Acting Up! Stand up Comedy night gets better! This time we had a couple of surprise stand up comics, though all of them were hilarious! Afterwards we had great bout of spontaneous improv comedy!
This time the comics were:
Marieke van Buytene
Trevor (with a mysteriously difficult last name)
Rob Tromp
Dave Phillips
Also, for the improv we had:
Marieke van Buytene
Rob Tromp
Dave Phillips
Chris Lee

We regret to inform the acting community that the planned SAA seminar has been cancelled.
Mark Aaron, one of our key speakers had an unavoidable schedule change and was called back to Hollywood for a reshoot on his latest movie. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. We will be doing other seminars in the future, and will be sure to inform you all when we do!
We thank the all the 20+ people that registered for this seminar, and hope we can provide you with an even better seminar in the future.
In the meantime, we still host Monday night events at Tanghui bar, free for anyone who is interested. Every monday we have a different theme. This coming Monday we have an improv show in the style of "Whose Line is it Anyway?". Come down and meet up with other actors, agents, and lots of other friendly people.
Here are some photos of previous weeks:
